Cumberland Street

At time of writing, July 2009, Cumberland Street is truncated - following WW2 the Admiralty walled off the western end of the street. However, this section of the dockyard wall will be be removed in the near future, and you will be able to traverse the whole length of Cumberland Street once again. Work is currently being carried out behind the wall to regenerate the area (known as the South Yard Enclave) and once new homes are built, trees planted, and the roads reconstructed and resurfaced, the wall will come down.
